The symbol of Yokohama, "Yokohama Marine Tower"

This time, I will inform you of Yokohama Marine Tower, as the symbol of Yokohama.

The tower was built as a lighthouse, and it is in the Guinness Book of Records.

Since the tower has been built in 1961,the tower served as the symbol of Yokohama

   for half century, and it will remain as the symbol.

The festival will be held in June!!!

Yokohama city was a small village by the Edo era.

In the Meiji era, Japan opened ports, and also Yokohama improved so much as the port of trading.

Now, Yokohama is the big city which has a population of 3,700,000.

The festival, that is the anniversary of opening port day (2nd of June), will be held in Yokohama.
